Food & Beverage
This department provides opportunities for young and old a like. Daytime positions provide the perfect opportunity for homemakers/retirees to earn extra cash. Those in high school & college can work after school and on weekends. Jobs include preparing food such as hamburgers/fries/pizza, helping to keep kitchen area clean and cashiering.
We are looking for weekday, weeknight and weekend help.

Lift Operations
If you like to work outdoors, this is the position for you. We encourage anyone 18 years and older to consider working as a lift attendant. This position allows direct involvement with our customers by assisting them to load and unload on the lifts. You’ll learn the lifts operations procedures and be asked to maintain the loading and unloading ramps. For anyone ages 18 and above operator positions are available.
We are looking for weekday, weeknight and weekend help.

Rental Operation
This department is a great starting position for 18 and older. You’ll learn customer service skills that will be invaluable to you in the future. An energetic employee can quickly work up the ladder from assisting customers in boot selection to handing out skis or snowboards to working on the Tech Bench.

Tech Shop
Tune technicians are responsible for the tuning and repair of both skis/snowboards. We are looking for weekday, weeknight and weekend help starting in mid-October.

Ticket Sales/Office
Ticket Product Sales is part of the office staff and will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest service while facilitating the sale of Lift Tickets, Season Passes, fulfilling pre-purchased sales orders. This position requires a full knowledge of our programs and services and is responsible for collecting guest information. The Sales Agent will also resolve guests product/ticket issues, facilitate refunds and work directly with management and other team members of the office by responding to guests inquiries with quality information about the resort. You will receive a high level of guest interaction and will be the face of Mount Kato! We are looking for guest service individuals who are positive, outgoing, have a passion for the outdoors, are well disciplined, and take pride in their work.

Paid Patrol
Ski Patrol ensures the safety of the area and guests by providing first aid care and attention to guest needed assistance on the slopes or other areas of the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Perform CPR and emergency care, when necessary.
* Understand the function of the equipment and standards procedures for its care and safe operation.
* Communication with other departments.
* Maintain safe and easy access with base patrol and ski patrol duty stations.
* Perform open and close procedures on hill daily.
* Recognize and correct any safety hazards within the ski patrol department.
* Maintain clean, safe and professional workstations.
* Maintain any appropriate records as set forth by company policy and procedures.
* Shoveling snow, sometimes deep, heavy wet snow weighing more than 50lbs per shovel full.SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
* CPR Certification required.
* Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) Certificate Preferred.
* Wilderness Emergency Care (WEC) preferred.
* Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people; ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to learn and develop new skills; ability to problem solve.
* Great customer services.

Snowmaking (experience helpful)
This department is responsible for the production of snow. Working outside and performing various duties in relation to our snowmaking system. Anyone with an understanding of basic mechanics and is able to multi-task.

Janitors
The goal of this team is to keep the restrooms clean, and stocked with towels, toilet paper, hand soap.
Other duties
Keep the entrances to buildings clean inside and out.
Clean windows inside and outside, mirrors, ceilings, walls, doors, floors, tables, and chairs
Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
Empty trash cans in and around the buildings
Replace burned out light bulbs
Make sure that we have enough trash cans and that they are placed in areas that are easy for customers to use in and around buildings
Shovel the walkways, patios and bridges around the chalets. Salt or sand the outside pedestrian areas when it’s slippery.
